Wool Rugs

Monasch rugs are manufactured in Best, Netherlands, using some of the finest New Zealand and European wool. Wool—as many of you know from our dresses—is comfortable and soft. It also insulates, absorbs sound, and is fire retardant and hypoallergenic. Wool repels dirt, and stains are easy to remove thanks to the fiber structure.

Sustainability

A Monasch rug is designed to be fully circular, thanks to the special Niaga backing. This flexible polyester backing separates easily from wool and can be recycled.

Wool essentially grows on grassy meadows, and after shearing, grows back naturally. Wool is a hard-wearing fiber but also biodegradable unlike the synthetic rugs that dominate the industry.

We suggest buying a sample box to see and feel the different styles. To reduce waste, we ask that you send the sample box back to us with the included prepaid shipping label. You'll receive a full refund for the box cost.

Shipping

Rugs ship directly from The Netherlands via FedEx Express. Rugs take four weeks to make and arrive at your home within five days of shipment. The listed rug price includes shipping and customs fees. Returns not accepted.
