To celebrate the launch of wool&'s new sweater collection, we teamed up with Alyssa, a travel and style blogger based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Alyssa shared five fresh ways to style the Maeve Crew Neck Sweater in Stone Gray—going beyond the classic sweater-and-jeans formula:
I paired the Maeve Crew Neck Sweater with the Frame Ponte Culotte, plus on-trend loafers (with socks, of course!) and a mock shirt. It’s not quite cold enough for multiple layers here yet, and a mock shirt adds the look of a collared button-down without the bulk.
My background may be in higher ed, but it's only now, out of the field, that I can truly appreciate professorial style. This look is deceptively polished—it seems all buttoned up, but I feel as comfortable as if I were in pajamas (shh!). The Maeve Crew Neck Sweater is paired with Rosso Straight Ponte Pant, a blazer, and oxford shoes.
I feel like a cool, artsy girl pairing the Maeve with the Goldie Ponte Pinafore Dress. The sweater drapes beautifully underneath—no bunching here! When the temperatures drop, I can toss on a pair of tights for added warmth with my ankle boots.
The Maeve sweater is just as darling worn over dresses as it is underneath them. Here, I’ve tucked the hem under and secured it with the dress’s belt for a cropped look, but you can achieve the same effect with a thin belt or a few safety pins. The Maeve goes sporty! While you can always drape it over both shoulders or tie it around your waist, I decided to tie it across my body for a contemporary, laid-back look. It’s a fun twist on classic styling. Paired with the Sloan Signature Crew Neck Tee and Summit Legging.
