Spring has sprung in Portland and we are missing our annual strolls around the office neighborhood to admire all of the blooming trees. Instead, we’ll have to admire the camellias and cherry blossoms from our respective neighborhoods, as we continue to work from home. We hope you are taking time to enjoy the changing of the seasons wherever you are. It’s amazing to think that we started working from home a year ago this time.
100 Day Challenge Facebook Group
We currently have 3.1K members in our 100 Day Challenge Facebook group! When we first launched the group, we could never have imagined that it would become what it is today. The group has become more than just a place to share 100 day insights. Instead, a true community has blossomed. We have witnessed tremendous support for the many challenges that present themselves in life—from times of grief to mental health struggles to body image reflections. And we have rarely had to step in to encourage this— you have done it all on your own. For those not in the group, here’s a quote from a member of what it’s like in there. Thank you for showing up for each other in a big way!
Product Sneak Peek
We've been busy testing new styles and getting ready for some new product launches! Ellie, our designer, wearing the women’s sleep pant paired with the long sleeve fitted tee. The sleep pant colors will match a new short sleeve v-neck tee. Comfy, merino sleepwear to look forward to!
Meg (Marketing Specialist) and Sue (Operations Lead) wearing the upcoming Cora Shift Dress in black. Meg wears an XS and Sue wears an XL. This item will be released in June 2021. Select your size and get notified when it’s available.
Traceable Knits
We launched our traceable supply chain story early in March. It was such a fun project to watch materialize from start to finish. We’re proud to work with a family farm that is specifically focused on improving energy efficiencies, land conservation, and biodiversity. As we like to say, sustainable just became more traceable.
In-House Fulfillment
We completed the process of bringing our fulfillment in-house to Portland. We’re thrilled with our warehouse team, as well as the control and flexibility we now have with our operations and logistics.
If we have an issue at the warehouse—shipping, systems, or capacity—it’s 100% our issue to fix. We decided that we don’t need to rely on a large, slow-moving 3PL (Third Party Logistics) to get the job done (3PLs can be good for certain businesses, but we have a hands-on, high-expectation culture and felt we’d give in-house fulfillment a try instead of switching 3PLs and running into the same issues again).
Style Archive
Check out our latest concept, the Style Archive. We are no longer in stock in these styles, but that doesn’t mean they are gone forever! Select your size and cast your “vote,” and we’ll perhaps relaunch this style in the future. Right now we have the Clara Shirt Dress and Sofia Midi Dress in the style archive.
Thanks everyone. As always, drop your comments below. Take good care!
Sincerely,
—the wool& team
